Models of Health Care Delivery

Dramatic changes since the early 1970s have brought diversification in models of health care delivery in the United States. Beginning with the creation of Medicare and Medicaid entitlement programs, the process has been continuous and escalating. Family practice, since its inception in 1969, has been a part of this process. Today’s opportunities and demands are vastly increased over those in 1969.
