Abstract
There appears to be rather general accord concerning the nature and goals of family practice, but less unanimity as to the clinical content of family medicine. Williams wrote in 1977 (8) that the clinical content of family medicine is yet to be defined and arranged into a structured system of knowledge: “Very little is being developed ... in the clinical content of family medicine, the areas that some call the general practice content of family practice.”
