Abstract
Fewer home visits are made today than in years gone by. An American Medical Association report (1) revealed that American physicians now make 17 million house calls each year, which accounts for only two percent of all physician services. However, 20 years ago, there were fewer American physicians yet they made 63 million house calls annually.
