Abstract
Of the parasites that invade the lung, most are rare and some are unique. Of the 44 parasites or groups of parasites described in this chapter, only 9 migrate co or through the human lungs as part of their life cycle in this host (Table 12-1). Over half the parasites included here are spurious or aberrant infections in man, the true host species being other animals.
