Abstract

Following the preoperative evaluation, preparation is started for vitreous surgery. This preparation includes a discussion regarding the benefits and risks of vitreous surgery (informed consent), selection of anesthesia, and medical consultation in many cases. This review will discuss the special preparations required for vitreous surgery.
