Abstract
The previous chapters dealt primarily with unusual clusters of one type of event over time or space. In this section we deal with generalizations to the simultaneous clustering of multiple types of events. In the first generalization, two types of events occur over the same (discrete or continuous) time period. The period is scanned for a window of fixed length w, looking for unusual clusters that contain at least a certain number of each type of event. In the second generalization we look for unusual clustering of two types of letter patterns in a two-dimensional array.
