The federal sector has been advancing telehealth initiatives for many years, and with great success. The process of integrating telehealth, however, has not been easy or smooth. Issues related to planning, funding, and staffing these projects have introduced challenges and obstacles, and in our efforts to surmount these, we have collected a catalog of valuable lessons. In this chapter, we share some of those lessons and experiences for the benefit of other organizations interested in using telehealth to improve business and clinical processes.
