Applications of the S-CWT have been numerous and diversified since it was first introduced on the market with a preliminary manual (Smith and Nyman, 1962). I have chosen to present here a selection of clinical data, just to demonstrate the diagnostic power of the typological approach, starting with the first study (Smith and Nyman, 1959) and ending with its modern counterpart (Rubino et al., 1994a,b). A comprehensive overview of the uses of the S-CWT has just been published (Smith, Nyman, Hentschel, and Rubino, 2001).
