Abstract

Aftereffects of perceived movement have been research objects for many experimentalists. When the perception/personality approach gained momentum in the middle of the twentieth century, they were incorporated into the instrumentation of experimentally oriented personality psychologists. Holland (1965) was a pioneer in the field of spiral aftereffects and he also reviewed it.
