Abstract

Some trauma centers are primarily government-funded operations. This is particularly true for centers that are connected with military personnel or former military personnel. These programs may service a specific geographic area (e.g., the Veterans Outreach Center serving the Northern Virginia area in the United States) or may serve an entire nation (e.g., in Sweden).
