Analytic Functions and Elements

Part of the Graduate Texts in Mathematics book series (GTM, volume 198)

A powerful method for defining functions is provided by power series (we have seen two examples in Chapter V: exp and log). This method is here developed systematically, and we come back to a more thorough study of formal power series. As is classically known, uniform limits of polynomials in a complex disk lead to analytic functions.
