Part of the Nonconvex Optimization and Its Applications book series (NOIA, volume 39)

In this last chapter, we shall make use of the techniques of duality for various problems arising from plastic limit analysis, contact problems of elastoplastic beams and the large deformation structures. All these problems can be formulated in terms of the canonical potential Π(u) = Φ(u,Λ(u)). However, some problems, which do not have such a formulation, are listed for the future research topics.
