Abstract

Earthquakes hazards is the problem of highest priority when planning safety operations. All companies take into consideration the possibility of earthquakes when designing their platforms, pipelines and other technical infrastructure. The questions arising here are: How strong an earthquake can occur in a specific area, and how often is it expected? In other words, what is the waiting time for such a strong event? To investigate that problem statistical analysis has been used. Not just the strength distribution, but also the directions of longitudinal waves coming to specific fields, were considered together.
