Abstract

Previous chapters discussed the methodology and tools of applying fuzzy and neurofuzzy logic to industrial control problems. There are literally hundreds of successful applications of fuzzy control published in technical journals and books and the interested reader is referred to the bibliography section for their detailed descriptions. Feature articles on successful projects implementing fuzzy and neurofuzzy logic are helpful whenever the plant/process on hand is similar to those described. However, they are seldom able to furnish good general guidelines for the prospective user regarding good potential applications of fuzzy control. The objective of this section is to fill the gap in this respect.
