Abstract
Korean manufacturers have been very successful in overseas markets for the last 30 years, supported by the Korean government’s export-driven policy. They have contributed tremendously to today’s Korean economic growth, and some of them are now even world-leading companies in some areas such as memory chips, household electrical appliances, and shipbuilding.
