Abstract
The aging process is most clearly demonstrated in the skin. Since the skin is visible to all, the changes from normal aging and exposure to the physical elements can be disturbing to the elderly, who may seek ways to reverse these cutaneous changes. Also the various dermatologic diseases and growths that may appear with aging are easily noted by both the patient and physician. This chapter concentrates on the skin changes that occur with aging and the dermatologic diseases that affect primarily the older age groups.
