Abstract
This chapter surveys methodologies and algorithms for hardware-software cosynthesis. While much remains to be learned about co-synthesis, researchers in the field have made a great deal of progress in a short period of time. Although it is still premature to declare an authoritative taxonomy of co-synthesis models and methods, we can now see commonalities and contrasts in formal models and algorithms.
