Energetic, Biomechanical, and Electromyographic Characteristics of Elite Kayakers and Canoeists
Canoeing and kayaking are general disciplines on the program of the World Championships and Olympic Games. Scientific research of each of these kinds of paddling and the comparison between them have great significance for the progress of sport results and the development of technique and training methods. It is especially interesting to use a multi-disciplinary approach, which allows the construction of the most complete model of each of these separate sports activities. This communication describes an attempt to compare kayaking and canoeing, having analysed at once some aspects of their activity with the help of various research methods.
