Abstract
This chapter introduces dynamic systems on time scales and proves the basic properties of solutions of such systems so that the theory developed includes the corresponding theories of differential equations and difference equations at the same time. The approach brings out clearly the extra assumptions needed when we deal with difference equations directly. As we shall see the induction principle is employed very crucially in most of the proofs.
