In this chapter, we discuss the markers of the neoplastic cells in Hodgkin’s disease (HD). For descriptive purposes, we use the term “T-cell markers” to indicate markers that are known to be associated with T-lymphocytes. This by no means suggests that these markers are exclusive to T lymphocytes or diagnostic for T-cell lymphoma. The same principle applies to the terms “B-cell markers” and “histiocyte markers.” We use the word “markers” to define all gene products that can be used to indicate unique properties of cells.
