Abstract
The fundamental limits and practical limitations to low-power low-voltage operation of analog circuits are identified. The various levels of analog design, namely devices, circuits and systems are then examined. For each level, specific problems and existing or anticipated solutions are discussed. Prospects on the future role of low-power analog circuits are addressed in the conclusion.
