Implications for Decision Making: Auto Industry Perspectives

  • Samuel A. Leonard
Part of the Environmental Science Research book series (ESRH, volume 45)

The first reaction of the auto industry to the global warming issue is that we wish it would go away. We have enough problems without it, and if you add anything to recession and foreign competition, you will make things much more difficult. But obviously the threat of global warming isn’t going to go away so the second reaction is: is this global climate thing real or imaginary? I must admit that my own personal opinions are much closer to the imaginary side than those of our keynoter, Dr. Oglesby.
