Voice Interactive Information Systems
Society depends upon people being able to acquire, assimilate and react to information. As the complexities of society increase, so likewise have the technologies for providing information for decision making. Frequently these technologies are not well matched to human sensory capacities, and the user of such systems either is in danger of being inundated by vast quantities of information that are difficult to sift and digest, or of being burdened by complicated operating procedures for accessing the information. There is great incentive to make information systems easier and more natural to use and to provide systems with the intelligence for anticipating needs of a user.
