Size and Velocity Measurements of Spherical Particles in Multiphase Flows and the Prediction of Absolute Particle Concentrations

  • Chapter
Optical Particle Sizing

Abstract

For the important field of multiphase flows, where dispersed particles are immersed in a continuous phase there exists a strong demand for simultaneous and non-intrusive measurements of the size, velocity and concentration of the dispersed particles in order to establish the momentum, mass and energy balances of these processes.
