Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSA,volume 102))

Summary

Species attributed to Coremium a genus long considered a synonym of Penicillium are revised based on the study of type specimens. Three new combinations in Penicillium are proposed: P. vulpinum (Cooke & Massee) Seifert & Samson for the species previously known as P. claviforme, P. coprophilum (Berk. & Curt.) Seifert & Samson for P. concentricum and P. glandicola (Oud.) Seifert & Samson for P. granulatum Bain. Species of Coremium excluded from Penicillium or of doubtful identity, are listed.
