Abstract
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Philippine Heart Center for Asia (PHCA) initiated in 1977 feasibility studies on community control of rheumatic fever-rheumatic heart disease’ and, a year later, on hypertension and stroke2, utilizing primary health personnel of MOH. The encouraging results obtained and the experiences gained from these studies logically lead us to embark on feasibility studies in comprehensive cardiovascular community control program (CCCCP).
