Experimental Searches for Supersymmetric Particles

Fourth Workshop on Grand Unification

Part of the book series: Progress in Physics ((PMP,volume 9))

Abstract

In this review, recent limits on masses of supersymmetric partners of quarks, leptons, and gauge bosons are analyzed, and most experiments so far proposed to find such states in the next few years are examined, with emphasis on experiments that can be done now (especially gluino pair production in hadron reactions, e+e- → γ2 γ1, and W± decay). The implications of heavy photinos are considered. An attempt is made to systematize the terminology so that names and symbols denote the properties of the states and are consistent.
