On the Performance of Whole-Titanium Made Turbine Condenser

  • Chapter

Abstract

For the trouble-free and economical operation of the turbine condenser at the power station, such a cooling tube is needed as is perfectly free from the leakage. From the enviromental preservation point of view, it is desired of the cooling tube that the tube needs no chemical agent like ferrous sulfate, which is used to form the protective film inside the tube, and that the tube has a characteristic resistance to the high flow velocity sea-water in order to conform to the regulations of the elevated discharge water. Titanium tube can be said the best material to satisfy these requirements.
