In recent years titanium has been gaining increasing importance in the fabrication of welded tubes for heat exchangers used in power stations, desalination plants and in ships as well as for plate heat exchangers employed in a variety of applications. The choice of material for all these applications is determined by the liquid to be cooled and by the coolant.
