Abstract
The anisotropic properties of hexagonal close-packed titanium sheets have been utilized effectively for the application such as a pressure vessel under the biaxial stress condition. In general, the deformation mode of the deep drawing for sheet metals is regarded as that under the biaxial stress condition and therefore, such a normal anisotropy is considered to influence largely the deep drawability of titanium sheets. As the anisotropy in titanium sheets is based mainly on the texture, its deep drawability is considered to be improved by the texture control.
