Structure of Semifinished Alpha + Beta Titanium Alloy Products
Development of semi-finished products manufactured from alpha +beta titanium alloys has necessitated a thorough study of the interrelation between the structure and phase composition of these alloys, and their mechanical properties. For the necessary combination of mechanical properties to be assured, semi-finished products manufactured from titanium alloys must have a homogeneous macrostructure and a fine-grained microstructure. The structure of semiproducts from alpha+beta alloys is determined by their thermomechanical deformation behaviour.
