Abstract
The problem of correlation, as pointed out by P.O. Löwdin, /1/ is a central one in many body physics. It is realized that correlations in the particle motion are to be included in the mathematical description of many body systems in order to reach an agreement with experimental data. However, this is a nearly impossible task except for a few simple systems or for some simple kinds of correlation.
