Abstract
The world prevalence of human trichinosis is small, but every case is important to the individual and to health authorities responsible for protection of the public. Hence, we must maintain a constant surveillance of human and animal trichinosis and take the necessary action when outbreaks occur so as to determine the epidemiology and how future episodes of disease can be prevented. We cannot hoe to eradicate T. spiralis but we should be able to prevent it from entering the human food chain.
