Abstract

In dim recall, it seems that giants strode the halls of the Department of Psychology when I was a student at Berkeley. Edward Chace Tolman was there, dazzling us with his brilliant meandering lectures. Aided and abetted by Benbow Ritchie, he presided over the intellectual pyrotechnical displays in the learning seminars.
