Magnetic Critical-Point Behavior in Fluorides of Iron

Abstract

The temperature dependence of the hyperfine interaction of Fe57 has been studied with the Mössbauer effect in the immediate vicinity of Néel point in a number of fluoride compounds of iron. The results obtained in the region 0.8 < T/TN < 0.9995 are compared with critical point theories as well as with results on related compounds obtained by other techniques.
