Abstract
During the past year, a variety of materials containing antimony have been studied. Experimental methods are described, along with information on various methods of source preparation. Results are presented on the previously unknown excited-state quadrupole and magnetic moments. An interpretation of the isomer shifts is given which places great emphasis on pairs of materials for which their tin and antimony atoms are thought to be isoelectronic. Hartree-Fock computations are described that enable a first estimate for the change in nuclear radius: δr/r = (−8.1 ± 3.0) 10−4.
