Recent IBA-2 Calculations: A Theoretical Study of the Tungsten Isotopes

Abstract

Much work has been carried out recently in the application of the so-called IBA-2 model1,2 (the Interacting Boson Approximation (IBA) formulation of the model for both protons and neutrons interacting with each other) to nuclei throughout the medium to heavy mass region. We will report in detail only on our calculations for the tungsten isotopes and refer those interested in other such investigations to the literature.2,3
