Abstract

Collective features in the low energy excitation spectrum of light even-even nuclei are discussed. It is attempted to describe their mainly transitional character in the formalism of IBA. In comparing to experimental results the main emphasis is put onto transition amplitudes, which give a detailed information on the collective character of nuclear states.
