Abstract

There are many different techniques of interfacing billing. The most exotic is direct hardware connection in which we send the data instantly to another computer system so that they can accomplish our billing. In looking over the cost of direct connection and the great complexity of interfacing two data centers, it became apparent that the only convenient mode of exchange was the use of magnetic tapes.
