Abstract
Diseases of channel catfish are classified as noninfectious and infectious. Noninfectious diseases include nutritional disorders (Chapter 5) and toxicoses related to suboptimal environmental conditions (Chapter 4). Infectious diseases are caused by living organisms that parasitize or infect fish. Infectious diseases of channel catfish are caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoans, and metazoans.
