The Physics of Tire Traction: A Review of Current Theory

When we were in the planning stage for this Symposium, some individuals thought that the physics of tire traction was too narrow a subject to be the topic for a two day meeting. If anything, we certainly have demonstrated that two days is too brief a time in which to attempt to thoroughly treat this multifaceted problem.
