Summary

An X-Y planar robot which manufactures multi-wire looms under the control of a BBC model B computer is described. The drives for each axis use stepper motors and have working travels of 1m and 0.75 m, respectively. The operating program is menu structured to allow interaction with the operator. A selection of either keyboard or voice input may be made to interact with the machine.
