Obesity: Comments on Epidemiology
Obesity is said to be a major cause of ill-health, i.e., a public health problem, in developed countries and, if this is true, developing countries would gradually become similarly affected. An attempt will be made to show that obesity presents indeed a serious health hazard but is not — as often suggested nowadays — the predominant and singly most important health problem in industrialized societies.
