Abstract

There are many causes of interstitial lung disease. I will consider the methods that have been developed and evaluated to assess and follow patients with cryptogenic fibrosing alveolitis with some reference to sarcoidosis. The techniques used in these conditions can be widely applied to other conditions as appropriate.
