Abstract
Mesozoic geosynclinal systems of different types, massifs, continental margin volcanic belts, and Cenozoic geosynclinal systems have been distinguished within the Soviet Far East between the Pacific Ocean and Siberian Platform, which is one of the oldest continental nuclei of Asia (Fig. 1). Different types of tectonic elements, discussed in the following sections, are revealed by their magnetic anomaly patterns. Thus, aeromagnetic data were used to identify these elements in “closed” regions, such as water-covered areas and young depressions.
