An inspection team is, and should be, results-oriented. However, occasionally investigations of job mishaps, accidents, or other fact-finding requirements necessitate exhaustive utilization of special portions of the job records. Another situation requiring use of documentation is defense against claims. The nature of the fact-finding process will vary with the job situation, so that prior experience alone is not a sufficient guide in setting up the job documentation.
