Dynamic Problems of Reciprocating Machines
Machines that contain elements provided of reciprocating motion have some characteristic dynamic problems. In many cases, their solution is quite difficult and designers very often cannot ensure working conditions that are as smooth as those that can be reached with machines containing only rotating elements. In many cases it is already a difficult task to avoid strong vibrations, which are uncomfortable for users and dangerous to structural safety. Often it is necessary to resort to extensive experimentation even to reach this limited goal.
