Abstract
The Land Battle Simulation developed by RARDE from the original EINFALL model aims to extend the results of War Games by using the battle statistics from the War Games as a basis for the play of computer battles in which the effect of terrain and tactics is implicit. The simulation is Monte Carlo in nature, and a number of repeats of the same battle can be carried out, using different sets of random numbers each time so that an average battle emerges, together with a measure of the spread between replications.
