Data Generation for Model Validation

  • M. R. Bryson

Beginning in early 1972 and continuing through December 1973, the US Army Combat Developments Experimentation Command conducted a series of field experiments on armor combat. The major objective of this series of experiments was to generate reliable field data to be used to validate some of the Army’s high resolution combat models, such as DYNTACS, CARMONETTE, and the Individual Unit Action model. The experiment also provided reliable input data for production runs of the models.
