Abstract
It has been shown by Friberg(1) that the heptane-water-tetraoxyethylene glycol dodecyl ether (C12E4) system forms clear single phases over appreciable ranges of composition and temperature. Within such a clear phase, the micelles may be normal (i.e. oil in water) or reversed (i.e. water in oil) and in some instances a transformation occurs from the former to the latter with change in temperature or composition without departure from the single phase region.
